Groundworks — common questions
What does a groundworks package actually include?
Typically site clearance and excavation, foundations and footings, drainage installation, and the hard landscaping that goes on top. We handle every stage rather than coordinating separate trades, so there's one point of accountability from the first dig to the finished level.
Can you deal with poor or contaminated ground?
Often, yes. Made ground, old foundations and redundant services are common across the Black Country and we survey for them before pricing rather than discovering them mid-job. Where specialist remediation is needed we'll tell you upfront instead of building it into a vague contingency.
Do you install drainage as part of groundworks?
Yes — foul and surface water drainage is a standard part of what we do, including connections and the falls that make the system actually work. We also take on drainage as a standalone job.
